10 Reasons Women Fail to Grow Wealth – Part #1, with Dr. Deborah Ekstrom
This show is the first in a series of three episodes on The 10 Reasons Women Fail to Grow Wealth, hosted by Dr. Deborah K. Ekstrom, Founder and CEO of Money Loves Women. In addition to her work with Money Loves Women, Dr. Ekstrom is a sought-after plastic surgeon with 33 years of experience.
Before discussing three of the ten reasons women fail with money, a conversation about mindset is needed. How do wealthy people think differently than others in various social classes? People living in poverty are motivated by fear and scarcity. The comfortable middle class prioritizes security over success. The loud rich are flamboyant and often doomed to fail. The wealthy? They're consistent and quiet. People who acquire lasting wealth come from all socioeconomic backgrounds. The traits that differentiate them include constant searching for opportunity, becoming comfortable with risk, and acknowledging their self-worth.
Mindset – along with inherent fear, how you think, and what actions you take or don't – is at the center of the conversation when discussing the first three reasons women fail with money.
The good news? These three traits can be overcome by a change in thinking and an investment in coaching to break the cycle of fear-based thinking.
