With more votes than any other candidate for treasurer in California’s history, the 34th State Treasurer Fiona Ma is the first woman of color and first woman Certified Public Accountant (CPA) elected to the position.
Ma’s office processes more than $2 trillion in transactions within a typical year, providing financing for schools, roads, housing, recycling and waste management, hospitals, public facilities, and other crucial infrastructure projects that better the lives of California residents.
Additionally, Ma helps educate and mentor women on how to overcome obstacles in the world of money, power, and influence by working, volunteering, and serving on women’s boards and commissions.
