No Matter Your Role, You’re Always a Salesperson, with Andrea Balletbo, Advisory Manager at Boopos
Andrea Balletbo is an Advisory Manager at Boopos, a business-funding agency based in Miami, Florida. Before entering this role, Andrea pursued a creative degree in her home country of Spain, worked in San Francisco including co-founding a tech company and obtained an MBA. What’s even more impressive? Andrea is only 27 years old.
Growing up in Barcelona, Andrea saw firsthand the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur. When her father’s real estate business suffered during the 2008 recession, Balletbo gleaned resilience and persistence from her father’s optimism. Through her grandfather’s successes in the hospitality industry, Andrea learned that no matter your industry, you always need to be a salesperson to achieve success.
This sales-focused mentality transferred to all aspects of Andrea’s life, as she was repeatedly required to sell her skills and experience for her next role. Her tenacity led her to her current role at Boopos. Andrea brought her expertise in startups and technology into her latest position at a business financing company, and she proudly shares that she learns something new every day.
On this episode of Money Loves Women, join Dr. Deborah Ekstrom and Andrea Balletbo to learn about small business financing and acquisition – the work Andrea does at Boopos. You'll also learn about working in technology startups, changing careers, and the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.
