Tania Vasallo grew up in Spain in a patriarchal family in an already patriarchal country. Stifled by the status quo and the certainty that boys had it better, Tania pursued her studies and began a corporate career as an art director for an advertising company in New York City.

Though she worked with noteworthy accounts on the scale of Starbucks and Nabisco, Vasallo felt constrained by the limits of corporate America with its limited vacation and male-centric staffing. 

Tania’s desire to change careers was magnified when she experienced a considerable loss in the value of her retirement account during the 2008 financial crisis. She knew that with increased knowledge and freedom, a mistake of this magnitude wouldn’t happen again.

Fast forward to 2017, Vasallo founded The Courage to be Happy – a supportive community that empowers passionate, heart-centered women entrepreneurs worldwide to become financially empowered so they don’t have to depend on others.
